11 VIRGINIA COMMONWEALTH RAMS 28-11

VCU Regular Season Colonial Conference Record: 12-6

VCU Finished 4th Colonial Athletic Association

VCU Lost 70-65 to ODU in CAA Tourney Final

8 BUTLER BULLDOGS 27-9

Butler Regular Season Horizon League Record: 13-5

Butler Finished Horizon League in 3-Way Tie for 1st Place.
(Tied w/Wisconsin-Milwaukee & Cleveland State).

Butler Won 3rd Consecutive Horizon League Tournament Championship, overcoming #1 Seed Wisconsin-Milwaukee on Panthers Home Floor, 59-44 at "The Cell" in Milwaukee.

Bulldogs automatic NCAA Entry, turned out to be only NCAA participant from Horizon League.

KENTUCKY WILDCATS 29-8


Kentucky Regular Season SEC Conference Record: 10-6

Kentucky 3rd Best Conference Record (Ky 2nd | SEC-East)

Kentucky rolled to SEC Conference Title w/wire-to-wire 70-54 Win over #1 Seed Florida.  Cats' 3 solid Conference Tourney Wins averaged 13 points each.

3 CONNECTICUT HUSKIES 30-9

UConn Regular Season Big East Conference Record: 9-9

UConn Finished 9th in 16 Team Big East Conference 

UConn engineered a near-impossible, undeniably astonishing 5 Game in 5 Night w/5 Win Run to capture Big East Tournament Championship, Beating Louisville 69-66 in MSG, NYC. The Huskies' Kemba Walker staged a one-man assault on Big-East Teams, scoring 26 PPG in New York City

UConn's 5 Wins | Big East Championship Scores:

  • DePaul, 97-71
  • Georgetown, 79-62
  • Pittsburgh (#1 Seed) 76-74
  • Syracuse in OT, 76-71 and finally
  • Louisville, 69-66
